​​​DRAW ANIME/COMICS ​​
We’ll use pencil, brushpen and art board to create manga characters and comic pages. Shading, action poses, and comic book page layout covered in this class. Draw human and animal original characters with step-by-step demonstrations from the instructor.
​​​DRAW NATURE ​​
Learn to draw nature with just a pencil and sketchbook. Shading, gesture drawing, and detail drawing covered in this class. Draw animals and plants by following instructor demonstrations, then try your own!
​SILK PAINTING​
Paint a silk scarf, silk wall art, and mini reuseable silk gift bags - great for meaningful and eco-friendly gifts. Students will have their choice of up to 3 silk projects, using abstract colors, nature themes, or other design of their choice. Silk items are washable once heat set.
SEW IT!
Learn to sew by stitching easy felt ornaments,accessories, phone/mp3 covers & more! Then design your own pillow or cuddly plushie creature. Students choose from variety of fabric & decorations. New projects every session!
​CALLIGRAPHY
​Learn to create beautiful lettering and fancy flourishes in this 4-day workshop. Students will explore Gothic, Celtic, and Chancery styles of writing, as well as creating "word art" - shapes and pictures created entirely with words. This art is fun for all year round creation of greeting cards, invitations, framed quotes, certificates and event flyers.
​DIGITAL ANIME/COMICS
​Start learning to draw and even animate your anime/comics characters in Photoshop! Digitally color and animate instructor samples the first day, then after that learn to create your own original work on the computer. Bring your own drawings to scan and color if you already have characters you want to use, or use artwork you create in class with step-by-step help from the instructor. Please bring a jump drive to save your work.
